The world mourns Lady Diana Spencer, HRH Princess of Wales, who got killed in a car accident at the (much too young) age of 36. She was not only a role model in the engagement for the weak and ill, she also lived her being different and 'rebelling' (ever so slightly) against protocol. This image shows her in happy days, where she also dared to defy protocol by being barefoot, and being merry while doing so. I guess, she will remain in our memory as one of the special women of this world. Let us bow our heads in remembrance and reverence. And let us follow her example in being proud and engaged about our own being different... in this case: bare feet.
